Motion Sickness in Bioshcok Solutions?
I get motion sickness often in cars and in boats. I have NEVER had motion sickness due to any game till today.
I have found that this is a semi common occurrence from BioShock 1. What is the best way to fix this? I am a bit computer illiterate so detailed instructions, or at least a link to such instructions would be great. For reference, I use Window 7.
Errr... I beleive that the only way to fix that would be, simply put, to not play the game.
I suffer from the same ailment, and sometimes have this problem while playing games. It's a common problem with FPS games in particular, and Bioshock is not the worst, far from it. (For instance, I tried the demo for "The Darkness" and immediately knew it was just impossible for me to play.)
Not much you can do in the game about it though, except maybe adjust the controls to get a steady motion. Too sensitive controls might make it worse.
If you're new to these kind of games, it might get better when you gain better control on your motions. It might also help to keep you "head" up and not look down on the "floor" while moving. (Another mistake many players do in the beginning.)
You can also try to move away from the screen, and not sit too close. (Might be hard with a computer, I know, but anyway.)
Finally, play short periods of time and then take a break.
And, if you're lucky, it will get better when you have played the game for awhile. For me it's mostly a problem when I start playing a new game the first time. It's gets better when I've had time to get used to it. Even if it doesn't go away completely, it's at least bearable.
Is there maybe something I can do with the video card settings? Perhaps a hack to minimize the offending game graphic?
Well, it's probably just that you have the sensitivity too high. Whenever you move, you move a bit too fast for your comfort. Try going into the game's settings and reducing the sensitivity.
