Broken achievement? How to get ransomed by barbarians?
I have never lost a city to barbarians in any game so i decided to set up a game just to see if it was possible.
I built two cities and left them totally undefended untill 500AD with raging barbarians. In all these years the barbarians attacked my cities only twice but never enough to conquer any of them. Is it at all possible to lose a city to barbarians?
Has anyone completed the achievement "He threw a car at my head!"?
Its not possible, the barbs only get some gold when they "capture" your city.
I think the barbs are much to weak in this civ vers. . They even very rarely attack a city.
In 630hr on Immortal i just see it one time.
As opposed to this I have seen puppet capitals, mentioned in another thread of you, very often.
I have the achievement.
They don't capture the city but they do raid the treasury once they cause enough damage.
I had to set up a game on Deity with Raging Barbarians in order to trigger the achievement though!
Thanks for the reply!
I guess I have to try again with your settings.
Thanks, I just thought the puppet capital was a bug. I does look a bit strange in my opinion but I suppose it doesnt really matter.

So far I've been unable to face the humiliation of losing a city to barbarians, so I've skipped this one. And I did once play a lot of Deity with Raging Barbarians.
We are trying to keep the achievement of not getting this achievement.
