So, I've been a member on the forums for a while and done a bit of posting and I must say that I regret writing a bit of it. I initially loved MAFIA II and my expectations were through the roof, then the game released and all I could notice were things that weren't there that was supposed to be there. Months following the release people found a bunch of scraps of what nobody could place in the actual game, so it was revealed to be missing content. Most of it, later turned up in DLCs, which I never liked... neither of them and still don't. Since info from 2K has come out about the troublesome development, my anger has settled and I can now continue posting with more understanding of their situation. My hopes are high for a possible third MAFIA title, seeing as I would like them to have a rematch against the community.
But today I decided to finish the "Card Sharp" achievement, which is to collect all the posters. This was the only achievement from the main game I had left and I have never really bothered to sit through and collect them all at once. But driving through the city to various locations I can't help but to think, "Wow, this is amazing".
The city is so varied, living and really a breathing character on its own. It is just simply amazing. I am sort of glad that the posters were there, because it showcases the architecture that the developers have created, I have never seen that amount of detail in the city. It is a real shame that you are not prompted to explore it more in the main game, you are mostly sent around the same locations over and over.
Hunting down posters in the downtown area to then head out ot North Millville for more, is just flat out an incredible experience on its own. So I really applaud the developers that created the city, it is just fantastic!
