    XCOM Drinking Game

    Play on any difficulty.

Take a drink whenever one of your squad members is killed.

OPTIONAL: Drink whenever a civilian is killed.
OPTIONAL: Drink whenever one of your ships or satellites are destroyed.

Get hammered. Me & my buddies will be imbibing heavily on the 9th, that can be guaranteed.

Let's be realistic now... some of these games seem to be designed to end the play session before it hits the hour mark.

A shot for every satellite you get up.
A shot for every successful interception.
A shot for every successful mission.

Drunken failures will result in not taking a shot, thereby sobering up a little for the next mission, thereby keeping the game going longer.

Play halfway through the game doing very well on ironman mode. Get crazy drunk one night and completely screw the entire thing up.

That'll be MY xcom drinking game.

Let me get this right... Is this a drinking game or a list of achievements? :P Just kidding.

Get various kinds of booze, ale/beer (not lager), vodka, cider, gin etc.
Play on Ironman Classic or above.

Nickname each soldier with a name of one of the drinks. Henry 'Old Peculier' Jones, Jessica 'Absolut' Davies etc etc.
When the soldier misses, drink a shot if spirits, or two fingers if beer/cider.
If the soldier dies down a pint of beer/cider, and a treble of spirits.

Alternatively as that might be too hard on spirit drinkers, make a mixed drink and then just use the finger rule.

I hope you've also got paramedics on standby, because you and your buddies will likely be getting alcohol blood poisoning by the end of the fifth mission.

    These two.

Anything that makes you say "That's XCOM" = a shot.

Also, whenever a panic'ing rookie kills an alien.

    purely national ones:

Hello from Russia - drink a shot everytime russian troopers joined x-com team
Cheers! - drink everytime you finish to construct something in engineering
Cheers!! - drink everytime you complete science research
CHEERS!!! - drink everytime you recieve money

I believe the goal is to be prepared when aliens would come to kill you, but you would already be lying motionless, and aliens would think you had suicided and leave you alone.. on the aftermath of the Earth... with a headache...

Sort of like that HHGttG telekinetic drinking game, where the objective is to tip the bottle and pour your opponent a shot, and the booze suppresses telekinetic ability. Ford usually played to lose.

Also, some of these rules would go beyond that, and, even if you used water instead of booze (Wuss!) you'd spend more time running to the loo than playing. Unless you had a catheter, of course.

I like to name the rules to give a rationale behind them, and because it makes it funnier . So e other ones I've thought of include:

I just can't get to decent cover- Drink when a soldier killed by overwatch shot when dashing to cover.
Mind ☺☺☺☺ed- Drink when you kill a mind merging alien and get the double.
Medina, NEIN!- drink when a soldier gets killed by exploding car.
Goose would be proud- Drink when you take out a UFO without taking damage.
Our fearless leader- Drink when you first get a soldier to colonel.

Reposting my XCOM Drinking Game Rules from about 10 days ago...

Everytime a soldier dies, take a shot
Everytime an interceptor goes down, take two shots
Everytime your team wipes out on a mission, that's two beers
Everytime a funding nation leaves the project, take a shot
Everytime a satellite is lost, that's a shot
Everytime a soldier is turned into a Chryssalid, that's a shot and a beer (in addition to the shot for the dead soldier)

New Rule - Everytime a soldier panics and shoots one of your own, take a shot
New Rule - Everytime a soldier is insta-killed by a Berzerker, that's two shots (in addition to the shot for the dead soldier)
New Rule - Everytime a soldier is Mind Controlled, drink a beer
New Rule - If You Savescum, take a shot and a beer for each instance of it

New Rule - Everytime you get an Excellent Rating on a mission, you get a 'Get out of a drink free' card; you may save them up and use them as you like. Each card applies to only one drink (not one instance calling for a drink; if an Interceptor goes down, you can only ignore one of the two shots with one card)

You usually get 2 ratings per mission (I think). I.E.: one for # of aliens Killed, one for # of injured soldiers. Would you get 2 cards if you do "Excellent" on both?

Never mind achievements, that should be tracked with other game stats. They could have a whole "That's XCOM, Baby!" category, for all those kind of moments - track fluke misses, rookies killing each other, rookies fluking alien kills when panicking, all that jazz. Be great for arguments over who got screwed worse by the RNG as well.

Yes, so that would mean every stat that is Excellent (Civilians Saved, Aliens Killed, Soldier's Lost) gives you a card.

Does this take effect when turned to zombie, or when zombie turns to Chrysalids? In the new game, if you kill zombie fast enough it won't turn into Chrysalids.

Exactly; kill the zombie fast enough and save yourself some intoxication. Wait around and suffer the consequences.
