ok, so I'm not very good at CivRev yet...working on my first King victory still(OCC with Rome), and I've yet to see anything to tell me whether what type of Great Person you get is random, or in some way related to what you've done in your civilization's past.
It seems i get more Thinkers when I am pushing heavy into science, and I got 3 or 4 Great Humanitarians in a row when I was ramping up my culture production, but I don't know if that's just because of what it happened, or if it was directly related to the ratio of science/gold/culture/production or something like that...
I've also yet to get a Great Leader, and have gotten only a couple Great Explorers and Great Builders.
Has anyone figured out a way to tell what type you'll get, or how to get the type you want, or anything like that?
It's partially dependant on what your current research level is. If your close to a certain tech in research (or you've discovered it) you'll be more likely to get that particular tech.
Personally, I've had the experiance where I've done one thing, gotten one GP, reloaded saved game, did a couple things slightly different and gotten a different one, and in each one, my Domination was higher than my Culture, which was second to the Russians.... so for me it just seemed random...
Hell I've gotten a Great Leader before when I've not even CREATED anything other than a warrior so I do think it's truely random.
