I've seen a few posts here already but they seem to have been ignored although the problem is obviously plaguing many PC systems.
- Little micropops during gameplay while things are loading in the background (I'm assuming that's whats happening as nothing major is happening on the screen at the time)
- After playing the game for a while the game seems to freeze for a second or two then resumes normally. This happens constantly until I quit to the desktop then reload the game.
First issue shown here with someone runnting on a Geforce Titan - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBUitiO8FlE
Second issue here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_9Sl...ature=youtu.be
Nvidia users and AMD users both seem to be affected. There are threads on the Steam forums, Nvidia forums and several other gaming websites.
I'm running a Core i5 3570K with 8Gb RAM and a Geforce 660 ti. I can play on Ultra settings with roughly 50-60 fps constantly. Only performance problem I have is what's mentioned above.
When I turn Shadows down to High, switch off Ambient Occlusion in the game but turn it on in the Nvidia control panel it seems to reduce the problem but doesn't eliminate it. I've also tried changing the preset graphics option to medium and playing the game but it still happens (not as often though).
I've tried several fixes that seem to be floating around the internet like increasing PoolSize and SmoothMin and Max framerate. Turning off V-Sync doesn't fix the issue either.
Anyone else getting this?
