Doesn't seem likely to me, given the game interface is rather optimised to keyboard and mouse.

Just curious, you clearly own a PC since you are posting here. Why not just play on your PC/upgrade it a little?

Some people prefer to game on consoles. And 40"+ screens. From their couch.

Also, for all you or I know, the OP has a netbook, or low-end laptop. Or, doesn't own the PC they're using, has been told "no games" by the system's owner (a parent, perhaps), and that's that. Tons of scenarios are possible.

Not everyone has the luxury of doing that, either.

Oh sure. But instead of hoping for it to come to consoles, there's a much more direct solution here.

One that costs more money than s/he already plans to spend.

Not all of us have unlimited funds, Stethnorun.

A Civ V on a console? That's gotta be pretty hard to play. think of how hard it'll be in multiplayer....

You could have luck with a Civ VI. But I really doubt it'll come on the next gen consoles.

Why? The next-gen consoles will have the hardware to run the game.

I think he meant control-wise. Console controls are not precise enough.

Bah. You don't need super-precise controls on a 40"+ screen.

And even the current-gen consoles have USB ports. No reason you couldn't KB+M it on a next-gen console, that I'm aware of.

Won't know that until they are released, I guess. Regardless, this whole topic smacks of "shoving a round peg into a square hole".
