if youre life was a game....
Which game,if any reminds you of youre own life?
For me,it may be Farenheit(sans the homicidal blackouts )
The lead dude has a mental health meter that responds to different circumstances,so he has to keep it steady with all kinds of positive stuff, but if it drops to zero he just curls up and dies basically!
my life, BY FAR is definately like the board games LIFE and chutes and Ladders

Fahrenheit and Indigo Prophecy are the same game. The original title is Fahrenheit, which is the title outside of the US, but the publisher in the US wanted to change it so people wouldn't connect it with Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11.

Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit RULES. I love that game with a passion. I haven't finished it yet due to switching computers but I gotta reinstall...also sucks that it doesn't have any friggin widescreen resolutions
Look into that game if you haven't already...
The first 2 thirds of the game are totally awesome, yes. After that the story go bonkers. I still highly recommend it, though, and it should be rather cheap nowdays, especially on the PC.

The game would be a more realistic metaphor for my life if the player was able to open the bottom of the machine and whack the moles while in the safe area as well.
why do people always refer to 9/11 and not Fahrenheit 451 i hate moore... Ray Bradbury doesn't deserve this!

...I would have to say...something along the lines of Super Mario Bros. I always have the best intentions and am doing what I think is best (saving princess peach), and always having atleast ONE enemy who's trying to shaft me (Bowser), and when getting there...realizing its THE WRONG FRICKIN CASTLE! ARGH!
then your brother snags the girl, right?
Phoenix Wright: Ace Academy;sometimes the courtroom and the external relationships can get just as silly. A twinge of Vampire Bloodlines as well; I try to involve myself in the underworld happenings in downtown Vancouver. I wish it was more like Jedi Knight, but I'm stuck with human physical restrictions Instead we all get the Sims treatment.
A great book, one of my Dad's all time favorites; an originals take on a facet of dystopic totalitarian control. Certainly better than that painfully obvious documentary, to which all I could remark about was "I knew all this crap already" after seeing it.

Some areas of work require different clothing (either for protection or security), but in the real world, I'll just work around those. The metaphor breaks down somewhat because most of the people where I work are pretty cool, so nobody's an aggressor. I accumulate various items (documents, electronic hardware, software, etc.) that I'll put in a stash (on my desk) until they're needed for the job. Sometimes my chores are to meet with someone and find something out. Here's a short artifact list:
Name: EV101 Recorder
Description: Yellow square with a single LED on one side and metal prongs on the other.
Occurence: Rare - only two exist in the entire zone, but are used regularly.
Name: Bent Screwdriver
Description: Looks exactly like a regular small screwdriver, but there's a slight bend in the shaft.
Occurrence: Somewhat common. Every Stalker in the tech zone carries one, but are unheard of elsewhere.
Name: Electric Stapler
Description: Black box with a slit on one side.
Occurrence: Somewhat common - often found in the finance zone, rare elsewhere.
Name: Tapmate IV Port Sniffer
Description: Flat black rectangle with a smaller black rectangle protruding from the center.
Occurrence: Extremely rare. Only Stalkers from the beginning of the zone have seen it.
Name: 110 PDT
Description: Orange and blue wand with sharp, black tip.
Occurrence: Not uncommon - there's always a couple in the I.T., tech, and maintenance zones.
