Question: are there "ghosts" like BS1?
Because I have been playing BS2 for a while now and still have seen none.
It wouldn't worry me, only...
The trailer contains "ghosts," Elanor mentions your ADAM containing memories, and I'm pretty sure developer Q&As even mentioned them.
Do they still appear? Is there an explanation if not? Glitch, even?
If it is of any importance, so far I am up to the part where you are offered to kill Stanley in the Dionysus Park ticket booth.

Nope no ghosts, the closest thing is the memories of the people Stanley killed you see when gathering the sisters, I would assume.
Wow, that sucks.
Don't get me wrong I am not disappointed with the plot or anything else, but... I was really looking forward to them. And I think they would really help develop the history for newer players.
Thanks for answering, at least.
Ehh, I think the ghosts were yet another one of Levine's "let's make an underwater System Shock 2" things.
If they were present, then they'd just have to explain their presence all over again for the newcomers... just like McDonaugh did in the first game.
I agree, now on Fontaine futuristics and there's been no sign of any ghost whatsoever. Also, didn't 2k say there were flashback scenes (playable?) unless Stanley's secret was considered to be a flashback?

Actually, while there are no ghosts, the 'transferred memories' concept plays a HUGE role in the game. They didn't retcon or dismiss it so much as find different ways of exploring the idea behind it. I'd go into more detail but I'm nott 100% sure I completely understood Sofia's master plan just yet...
