eta on install negating prog
I'm looking for a e.t.a. on the revoke tool
So was I, when I started the thread Whatís the current ETA for the revoke tool? It didnít get me very far.
In Joystiq interviews BioShock's Ken Levine, Ken said, ďat some point we'll move back from online activation.Ē This, and what other people have said, makes me believe there never will be a revoke application. The fact that a revoke tool wasnít available at the start suggests that this ability was never part of the specification for SecuROMís online activation. If Sony DADC have to modify their server software, as well as product a client program to allow a revoke, I canít see them wanting to do that work for something that would only be a temporary measure, until online activation is completely removed from BioShock.
Thereís been mention on this forum that a set of modified files that gets íround online activation has been produced. If this turns out to be the case, that would be good enough for me and Iíll break open the seal on my BioShock DVD case. I hope this will turn out to be good enough for most people. Iíve not tried these modified files. Iíd need plenty of confirmation that they do what has been claimed and they donít do anything nasty. Iím not the sort of person to install software willy-nilly from untrusted sources.
Iím now thinking that either you or I need to post the ETA question, possibly repeatedly, into the thread Talk about SecuROM and activation issues here only please!
well if i get a indication that one isnt forth coming fairly soon then i will just burn another install
its not a huge deal i just dont want to do it if i dont have to
How about an answer please, and don't get out the BS either.
2k elizabeth posted yesterday she'd look into it and get back to us
I believe there are 100% working cracks out now. I haven't had the need to try them yet, but I've heard about them in passing. Being that I'm not really into the piracy scene anymore I don't know if these cracks really do work or not. From what I've heard they do, but I can't speak for the reliability of those sources.

I'm thinking that the release of the revoke application will coincide with the release of Duke Nukem Forever.
