    Smile Civ 5 Game Crashes same turn everytime, on Multiple machines

    I am new to Civ 5 from the older Civ's. This is my second game in Civ5, 1st game with marathon speed, huge map, 14 civs, 24 city-states. The crash happens in the Renaissance era.

    This game crashes in the same way, on the same turn, about 546, on BOTH my Windows 10 machines, a 2015 hp desktop, and a Surface Pro 4.

    It is a Civ5 Complete Steam install. The error crash box comes up when the "Processing turn for Morocco" is up, after that icon had been showing for severals seconds, suggesting that the crash is being triggered by either what he does at the end of his turn, or what the program does just after it. Byzantium is processed after Morocco in this game.
    If any of that is relevant.

    I had steam verify files integrity.
    Tried strategic view.
    Tried disabling auto unit cycle, tried switching several different miscellaneous options.
    Tried going to war with Morocco the turn before.
    Tried starting back from 5 turns ago moving my units in all different directions.
    Tried, of course, the directx modes 10/11, 8, and low graphics resolutions and lowest graphics qualities, and non-fullscreen. (tho dx9 version won't load)
    Tried static leaderheads option in config file.

    -I had my first ever civ5 war, razed a 1-pop city, then made peace. That was maybe 50 turns ago or so, if that could be relevant.
    -About 80% of the map has been uncovered, Small Continents Plus map.

    The problem happens just the same on my surface pro (windows 10), after loading the game from steam cloud, so it looks like it's not an issue connected with the computer itself.

    Would I want to post the save file somehow, have someone test it out?

    Or does anybody have any ideas of how to get past this one crashy turn?

    And even if I can get past it, is there anything I could do to avoid this kind of crash in the future?

    If your game has been crashing (particularly since the update), I'm 99% sure I know the fix to your problem because I experienced it too, with my friend.

    Essentially there's a bug in the new update where certain AI actions can crash the game without any explanation, my friend and I encountered this and every time we tried to reload the save it would crash on the same turn.

    What you have to do is pay attention to the player icons along the top and see which one bobs down when the game crashes (obviously you need to have discovered all of the AI or it might be someone you can't interact with). Once you know who's breaking the game, you have to roll the game back several turns and declare war on that civilization to alter their course and prevent them from doing the action that broke the game in the first place.

    If you pinpointed the right player this should fix the issue and the turn won't crash anymore. Hope this helped! (if this did work, please comment and upvote so more people see it)

    Are you talking about Civ5 or Civ6? What are you talking about when you say "player icons at the top"? My game always shows which AI player it is processing the turn for at the bottom center. Are you talking about the event items the slide down the right side of the screen?

    Did you notice I said I already tried declaring war on them the turn before? Are you suggesting i just need to do it a few turns earlier than that?

    Also, look at what the 2K support rep told me here, He says the corruption happened at the beginning of the game and has been sitting in the save-file all along: http://support.2k.com/hc/en-us/requests/2458189

    Poyo, I've got a similar problem. I'd love to check your link but it seems to be expired or removed; even making a 2K support account won't let me view it. Could you copy/paste the support rep's response?
