Good reviews so far. Some of the cons they gave don't really bother me so much to make me change my mind on buying this game as I'm paying more attention to the story.I'll ignore the OXM UK review though.

Everyone should...she obviously has no knowledge of the mafia what so ever therefore she should have no business putting out a professional review of a game about the mafia.

Seriously though, I played the Kane and Lynch 2 demo because people were saying how good and improved it was, and I couldn't get through 10 minutes of it. It was god-awful. The enemies have more health than you, and everytime you get shot, you just annoyingly fall down, get up, and get shot down again. Not to mention the eye-straining Youtube-style camera. I wanted to throw up.

In the options you can enable Steady Cam. That is what I had to do. The demo made me sick until I switched it!

    Lol, more like 4

A month ago this forum was dead, and this forum was VERY boring at night. Now since the demo came out, we have new members like McGee #2 that are very entertaining.

Maybe it only applies to negative reviews, because Jack did say that he sees the reviews before us........

He see's the publicated reviews in magazines, and such. No one can see IGN reviews, unless your the editor. An normally for site reviews they just write them 2 days before hand.

Maybe I was wrong about the embargo?

Long distance driving is a + for me Rare savepoints? Well during the missions u have plenty of savepoints as far as i know. Hmm. i guess u can't save the game while just wandering around the city. But still 9/10 is great thx.

I just hope the game saves after those long assed drives. There would be nothing more annoying than driving for 20mins and dying from 1 stray bullet, then having to do the whole drive again

GTA IV had that problem to a degree, but then again you could jump in a cab at any time and warp to the waypoint

Alright, the closing comments on the GR review:

"Mafia 2 isn't perfect. Too short, doesn't have much replay value, and sometimes the driving trips are a bit too long sometimes. But at the same time it's told incredibly well, insanely beautiful, and 'un-thinkabley' atmospheric"

Too short, since when is 10-15 hours too short, the reviewer must have rushed trough the game.

Have the Finnish GR which is translated from the Swedish version. Just like Cookie said, Petter loved almost everything in the game, except for the long drives and not-so-good replayability. He liked the characters and the story. He felt that the cover worked good, and the controls were very well. The atmosphere was given good scores too.

Also, speaking of the gameplay in a "sandbox" game, he felt that Mafia 2 pwned GTA IV, Just Cause 2 and RDR all put together.
